Knit – Warm and Cozy

With temperatures dropping to the teens here in NYC, we’re bundling up! It seems that novelty knits have been stealing the scene in menswear, womenswear and even home so we had to share some of our favorites!

Client Spotlight – AVivas Hidalgo

Our parent company, Sano Design Services, gets the opportunity to work with designers from around the globe.  We always enjoy seeing how they use our CAD Design and Digital Printing Services to come up with exciting products!  Since we like sharing, we’ve decided to introduce a Client Spotlight blog post to showcase some of our clients work!

Prints – Resort Ready 2013

Book your tickets for 2013 – we feel like we’re ready for the resort! We’ve been inspired by the looks from the Resort 2013 runway and we have the checklist for the print trends we spotted. Gather your best animal, floral, stripes, and geometric patterns and throw them together for a great mixed print! Also you can don some refreshing conversational prints, especially nautical and cute bows and other unexpected motifs! Don’t forget about playful abstract and watercolor floral prints, too. It looks like in 2013 you can still relax while being bold!

Prints – Seeing Spots

You don’t have to get your eyes checked – we’re seeing spots, too! We’re inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s art collaboration: ‘Infinity Dots Collection‘ for Louis Vuitton. Kusama is well known for her flowing and rhythmic polka dot patterns which seems perfect for fashion! This collaboration is a continuation of the idea of pairing art and fashion for the Louis Vuitton label. The first part of the collection will be available in stores July 11th which is a day before a retrospective of Kusama’s work at the Whitney Museum here in New York.

Client Spotlight – Burkman Brothers

The Burkman Bros just launched their capsule collection The Tourist with Urban Outfitters and we were there for the launch party! Our sister company, Sano Design Services, got to help out the brothers with their print design for their collection. Sano Design Services is a CAD service bureau that is based in New York City. They have many helpful services, and not just print development! Sano Design Services also creates graphics, illustrations, tech packs, product visualization, and produces digitally printed yardage. Also, their team can assist in trend direction, branding, merchandising, and consultation. Look out for more blog posts from the Sano team, and check them out!

Prints – Peruvian Spice

It’s been raining cats & dogs in New York City, so we decided to pep up our mood! Check out these amazing pictures by SchatziBrown and how we were easily able to find comparable prints on EzTextiles!  Using the library of products, we found a warm scarf to visualize our prints on.

Prints – Crazy For Paisley

Paisley is a big trend this spring as we noticed them popping up in a lot of S/S12 shows like Stella McCartney, Jil Sander, and AW Anderson. Paris Fashion Week – A Certain Je Ne Sais Quoi

Closing out the month of fashion frenzy, Paris never ceases to disappoint! We were baffled by the eclectic mix of surrealism, dreamy impressionistic watercolors, eastern & western art and classic florals.  The wide array of ideas allows people of all tastes to find a collection to dazzle the senses.  We can’t put our finger on just one overall theme, which allows us the freedom to let our design aesthetic  wander to the unknown.

Try your hand at pairing unconventional prints with classic designs such as a foulard or polka dots! Why not create a collection of your own on EzTextiles and see where your imagination takes you! Streetlook – Hyper Houndstooth

Strolling the streets of Tribeca, we spotted this lovely lady wearing such an outstanding coat! Check out her over-sized houndstooth print! Right on trend, we love the use of red instead of the everyday black and white and of course we had to head to our library to see what we could come up with!

Milan Fashion Week – Design Sofisticato

Prints were front and center in Milan during the Italian Fashion Week! Juxtaposed to London’s exploration of brights, in Milan we saw muted tones that gave an overall darker sensibility.  We also noted photographs & artwork translated directly onto fabrics, and new twists on classic animal prints.
