Client Spotlight – NYU Tisch Dance

When we were approached by Mark Koss at NYU Tisch Dance, we were delighted to help with printing the fabric for his costume designs in their production of Little Boy.”  The intense black and white images printed onto lightweight cotton easily transformed into these gorgeous costumes below, under the direction of Mark.

We’re thrilled to share this exciting application of digitally printed fabrics, and invite you to come print your own custom designs to sew up into any number of costumes you may think of!

We helped her print the fabric she used in the images below, exploring how certain passages in the Bible have affected her.  You can see her works now through June 28th at Hebrew Union College – JIR Museum or by visiting her website.

Prints – Seeing Spots

You don’t have to get your eyes checked – we’re seeing spots, too! We’re inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s art collaboration: ‘Infinity Dots Collection‘ for Louis Vuitton. Kusama is well known for her flowing and rhythmic polka dot patterns which seems perfect for fashion! This collaboration is a continuation of the idea of pairing art and fashion for the Louis Vuitton label. The first part of the collection will be available in stores July 11th which is a day before a retrospective of Kusama’s work at the Whitney Museum here in New York.

Take a peek at the polka dot prints from EzTextiles we paired with the inspirational images from the collaboration.

Inspiration – Collage It

We love coming across young artists with unyielding experimental and creative ideas that prove to be inspirational for textile and surface designers!

Checkout Aaron Wexler, an artist with a knack for his mixed media of painting with a cut and paste technique. There is a fluid presence in his abstract work, as well as a unique use of pop colors seen in his organic and geometric patterns.

Inspiration – Fantastic Fatalism

As visually stimulated people, we couldn’t help but be inspired by Heyniek, a graduate from the Design Academy of Eindhoven. His mood boards and illustrations for his collection, “Fantastic Fatalism” are breathtakingly creative! We love how imaginative and eclectic his eye is for putting together some intense patterns and colors!

Inspiration – Discarded Media

Check out artist, Nick Gentry’s newest focus…he uses discarded floppy discs containing all kinds of different data as a substrate for fashion forward portrait paintings.

We love the graphic element of black and white meets bright POP colors!
