Prints – Tutti Frutti

Its all about fruits!

A major trend for Spring/Summer 2011 is a strong focus on all kinds of fruits, from apples to lemons even cherries! This kitschy conversational has made quite a buzz amongst editors, stylists and bloggers whom have expressed a liking to the trend. Find fruits in magazine shoots, trend boards- even American Vogues’ Anna Wintour was spotted wearing an all too familiar banana print!

We too love this ‘tutti frutti’ trend! Check out our concept board below using prints from our very own royalty-free Vintage Library!

Prints – Tropicalia

Summer is right around the corner, and we were feeling tropical after being inspired by this post from the popular DIY blog, P.S. I made this.

It’s the perfect time to compose a mood board like this since sun kissed oranges, and reds are trending hard this season. Think resort, tiki bars, and remote islands like Tahiti and Fiji. Artist Paul Gaugin was also strongly influenced by the South Pacific and its colorful flora and fauna. We chose to focus on this theme and introduced a bold vintage feel!

Get inspired! We started this Resort collection for you!

Prints- Maxed Out

Maxi skirts are a must-have item for Spring and we are excited that there are some booming trends in prints associated with it!

Here are the most popular so far- Over-sized vintage florals for the daring, mini florals for feminine appeal, and stripes for the casual. The elongated silhouette allows for great allover patterns, so theres room to play!

Check out these and more maxi skirt patterns from our collection!

Trend – Prep for Spring

Chunky knits and layered styles seem to be a trend of the past as Spring takes over!

Start your Spring collection right with one of the dominating trends this season, the preppy look. Using patterns such as plaids, stripes and subtle foulard motifs help define this trend in basic silhouettes such as fit blazers, light sweaters, and simple dresses. Include a strong color palette of soft pastels and neutrals, then clash them with bold saturated hues of electric blues and yellows for a different approach!

There is more than one way to interpret this trend, so start by using the collection we made for you!

Prints – The New Camo

We all love the military trend right now…..but what is army if not for its staple print, camouflage?

We’ve experimented with the camo print in non-traditional colorways as well as large scale layouts, for a new fresh take on this otherwise old school pattern!
