Trend – Spring 2012 Colors

Fashion Week has begun and we’re pumped to see all the color on the runway! Check out the color trends we’re seeing for Spring.  We took this palette over to our library and started searching for prints that we can use for Spring!

Did you know that once you find a color you like, you can lock that color and do a search to find other prints that have that same color? It’s a useful tip if you’ve got a certain palette in mind, and need to see complimentary prints!

Once you’ve decided on your colors for Spring, why not head over to our print library and start your own collection? Don’t forget to share on Facebook and Twitter!

Color – Neutrals and Neons

Have you noticed the Neutral/Neon trend popping up everywhere? We sure have and we love it! Keep the bright electric colors grounded by simply adding calm neutrals to balance things out. Check out the inspiration board we created using the EzTextiles library and then start creating one of your own! Notice how we enlarged some of the prints to make them more of a placement print. Don’t feel limited to the default sizes; remember you can easily scale our prints up or down to the size you want, for maximum customization!

Inspiration – Fantastic Fatalism

As visually stimulated people, we couldn’t help but be inspired by Heyniek, a graduate from the Design Academy of Eindhoven. His mood boards and illustrations for his collection, “Fantastic Fatalism” are breathtakingly creative! We love how imaginative and eclectic his eye is for putting together some intense patterns and colors!

The Age of Branding

English costume designer Jason Alper, the man responsible for creating the controversial characters in Sacha Baron Cohen films, is at it again. This time, Alper catches our attention with his latest exhibition: “Proletarian Drift and the Enfranchisement of the Bourgeoisie in the 21st century.”

Alper fuses our society’s obsession of fashion branding with some of the most famous works of art known around the world! We think you’ll find these amusing ….
